POTLUCK SOCIAL AND COSTUME PARTY!

We’re on for Autumn folks! Join us for an October Sunday-afternoon social!

Educational stations and informative topics, policy strategy and outreach, local music and creative arts!

Come show support, get involved with the cause, and share in building coalitions for local and state-wide healing initiatives!

Have fun, meet people, build relationships, develop community!

Costume parties can be a lot of fun, and they don’t need to be a lot of stress.

There are many different ways to approach costuming, and the same is true of our theme of “Entheogenic Allies”.

The most direct approach is educational expression: Dressing up like one (or more) of our 4 primary entheogenic policy plants and fungi – Psilocybin containing mushrooms, mescaline containing cacti, DMT containing plants, and ibogaine containing plants. Know your plant(s) or fungi(s)!

(Know also, that other, appropriate [and not criminalized] allies, like amanita muscaria, datura, or ergot, etc. will NOT be turned away!)

A second layer is to portray some of the associated characteristics (or perhaps notable characters) of particular entheogenic experiences, within their appropriate contexts– think “The self-transforming machine elves that are singing in a hyper-dimensional language.” – for Terence McKenna, and his experiences of a DMT journey!

Whatever level of approach you desire, the execution does not have to be expensive, elaborate, or showy (it certainly CAN be) – but do try to make it accurate! Look at the details of your plant or fun-guy –the botanical, biological, psycho-spiritual, and entheogenic details-- and then apply your own particular character and aesthetic choices. (fairy-plant-spirit, anyone?)

Check out these examples. These generic cacti costumes (not our particular allies), but with individualized details and styles, they can can make unique, fun and highly-informative costumes!

Educational Forum

These gatherings are to co-create an educational space to inform individuals about the value of entheogenic plants and fungi and the intention to propose a resolution to decriminalize our relationship to nature.

The intention is to improve human health and well-being, by decriminalizing and expanding access to entheogenic plants and fungi through political and community organizing, education and advocacy.

We envision happier, healthier individuals and communities reconnected to nature and entheogenic plant and fungi traditions and practices.

Integration Circle

The purpose of these Circles is to create a safe, non-judgmental space for people to talk about non-ordinary states of consciousness, and to offer emotional support, educational information, and risk reduction strategies, pertaining to the use of entheogenic plants, fungi, and other, natural sources of psychedelic substances.

Integration circles are gatherings to assist with integration by reflecting upon them in a community of peers in hopes of discovering the deeper meaning that these experiences hold for us. The lifelong work of integration is enhanced and facilitated by working together in community.
